  • I adopted an older cat in the fall of 2005, so I will say this is an older review. However, I was incredibly upset with how I was treated afterward. My cat's adoption papers indicated that she had some tartar buildup on her teeth. Nope, not quite. Her teeth were rotting and disintegrating so badly that she often sat with her tongue out. Mind you she had been at the Humane Society for months so this should have been identified. $400 and a dental cleaning later, she only has a few teeth left. The CCHS response when I wrote about how upset I was--I could bring her back if I wanted. I'll never support--financially or otherwise--the CCHS after that response and the care my cat received while she was there.
