| - I am a regular Fresh Mint orderer - I order at least 2 times a week. When life is hectic and you don't have time to go out for lunch or to pack a lunch Fresh Mint is a great convenience. The food gets to you fast and the convenience of ordering directly online can't be beat. The salad containers were changed which is a plus. I much prefer these new containers - it's a lot easier to eat the salad and dress it. They offer eco friendly plastic utensils which doesn't go unnoticed - I love that they are eco-friendly. When it comes to food though, I find it inconsistent. I never know what I'm going to get in terms of quality. Some times dessert shows up and it's beautiful, other times it's squished and mashed beyond recognition. Some times the salads are fresh and well balanced, other times it's just a lot of canned corn or bland barley. Yesterday the salad was called "Watermelon, watercress and goat cheese salad" - that sounds delish right? WRONG. It was a half empty salad bowl of canned corn, canned black olives, and raw onions. There was no watercress to be found AT ALL. There were some shreds of soggy romain lettuce, a few cubes (garnish really) of watermelon and a piece of chevre. It was THE worst, most disgusting salad ever (it was not good at all. at all) but by the time I got it I just suffered through it because I was hungry and had no time. I am the first to say that I love the concept of Fresh Mint - I love their food ideas. I love the staff (always fast, friendly and efficient service) but Fresh Mint really needs to up their food game because I am more consistently disappointed then I am pleased with the food. I really want to support them because I think Montreal needs Fresh Mint. We need fast, convenient, affordable healthy lunch options - but we need it to be tasty and as advertised. Don't tell me I'm getting Watermelon salad when it's a canned corn and canned black olive salad. I'm ordering less and less which is sad but until the quality picks back up I'll have to skip lunch or go elsewhere.
