| - If stereotypes like juiced-up bros hogging the free weights or sleazy salesmen pushing memberships down your throat are keeping you from working out more, this is the place for you!
This place was just what I was looking for in a gym. My dad's been a member for a several years and persuaded me to go on a free 3-day pass, as I'd been wanting to start a regular exercise program for some time. I went in as suspicious as could be, bracing myself for a slimy sales pitch. I'd gotten a free pass at another LA Fitness location few months prior, and was seriously considering a membership, but the hard-sell there turned me off. Here though, I was amazed how polite and laid-back they were. No sales pitch, no "tour", no BS - they just let me use the gym for three days, no questions asked. I couldn't believe it.
I did get a membership, and of the half-dozen or so locations I've been to around the Valley, this is by far my favorite. It's on the smallish side, but still less crowded than other locations. It has a co-ed sauna and a steam room (my favorite feature). Lockers are free, not coin-operated.
