I think your employees that work at the front need some training in friendly customer service. I got 2 different employees yesterday who were unfriendly. One downright rude, and one sarcastic. It won't stop me shopping here since the location is convenient and a the end of the day, I come here to buy stuff
. But really, aren't greeters supposed to welcome customers not treat them rudely? And isn't the guy at the self checkout supposed to keep things moving in a friendly way? It's not that hard to smile and hold the sarcasm!
1. I walk in and need a cart. There is an employee standing right in front holding onto the carts. Was his job to greet people, and give them a cart? I got no hello, and when I indicated in a friendly way that I needed one, he acted offended!
2. Self checkout. Person in front of me still checking out. Person in front of him leaving. Employee blocking the way so I couldn't get to it. I thought maybe there was a reason why he didn't step aside so I could get to it, so I asked him if it was ok for me to go ahead - assuming he would step aside to make room. His response was a sarcastic "duh looks free to me". At this point I was beginning to wonder what the heck was wrong with your employees! I am always friendly to people and usually get the same in return, especially from people who are working with the public! My rant!
