  • Consider that a 2.5 please! They have a good amount of parking which is not something you find everywhere. The store is very large and has plenty of space to fill with arts and crafts supplies and other types of things you might expect to find at a place called a, "Craft Center." Returning something is IMPOSSIBLY annoying. There is a sign that tells you were to stand, you stand there and (I at least) look for the store employee to acknowledge your presence. I had to be a bit assertive and ask if I was in the correct spot or if I should get in line after the person standing at the designated spot served multiple people in line prior to helping me with my return (these were people who got in line while I had already been waiting). My experience with the return is indicative of one of the major problems with Pat Catan's-- under/ poorly organized staffing. Perhaps one way to address this problem might be to create a map of the store so that when an aisle is labeled, "Crafts," those of us who aren't as familiar with the store will know which crafts that refers to and won't have to chase down a staff member. Just a nice little map showing where things are would make a world of difference! I don't know what the second room is all about and it seems to be maybe off season items? It also seems like a lot of wasted space- I'd love to see them add fabrics or even a little boutique for those crafters who are on it and make stuff worth buying! It seems like something might be done over there. Do not go looking to find a rubber stamp. If you just think, "Hmm, you know I think I'd like a new rubber stamp today," then go ahead and go get you one. If you think, "Hmm, I would like to see if I can get rubber stamp with pretty average looking dog," don't do it. Get yourself a potato and carve out the image of a dog and dip it in some paint. I have issues with disorganization and I think that this hinders my appreciation for Pat Catan's. If you need to create a floral arrangement and aren't stuck on what it is going to look like, if you need a frame that is of generally common size or if you're 12 years old or under you're going to love a visit to Pat Catan's. Otherwise you'll feel good if you get out of there without having an internal melt down similar to that you often see displayed by 2 year olds. But you'll at least have supported a local chain...
