I had a few friends recommend this practice to me, but I had a terrible experience with my second recent pregnancy. My first issue is one that some people can deal with -- they made it nearly impossible for me to be able to see the same provider at each visit. All of the doctors were nice, but it seemed like none of them even bothered to read my chart before they came in to the room to examine me. I never cared which doctor delivered the baby, but I did want continuity of care during the pregnancy, which I never got.
At nearly 33 weeks, I became a high-risk patient and they had to coordinate with a high-risk OB practice near Main. Let's just say this was a complete and utter joke. We had to do all the coordinating ourselves. And, yet again, I had to explain to every single provider every time what was going on with my pregnancy. When you've just found out your baby will need surgery right after she's born, you don't want to have to be the one to break this news to your medical provider. Call me crazy for thinking they should read a chart and be prepared to give you proper medical care.
On top of this, their triage nurse also had no idea what was going on when we called when I was in labor. It was just a terrible situation. I won't be going back. It's too bad they have a near monopoly on CMC Pineville because it's right by our house and the hospital itself gets good reviews.
