This may very well be the best view of Pittsburgh you are going to get. I'd never been to the City of Bridges before, so we made the short drive up to Mount Washington to get a clear view of the city. The river, downtown, and all the major landmarks are visible from this vantage point. This quiet cool neighborhood can be overrun with folks trying to catch a glimpse of the city, but somehow we came at the right time as we were the only ones out there. The sky was clear and it was a sunny day so many great photos were snapped. Street parking can be hard to come by, but for a first-timer, it was definitely worth it. Next time I visit, I'll heed to Darren W.'s advice and see the sights at night-- I'm sure the city lights are breathtaking.
