  • My friend and I took the Kensington Sweet Tour on the most beautiful sunny Saturday. It was really interesting. Our guide (Alex? Not sure I remember his name correctly) took us to 5 stops: a Chinese bakery, a Middle Eastern restaurant, a Mexican Churros place, a vegetarian/vegan pie shop (where we actually had cupcakes) and then to the Banana Market where we had English chocolate and homemade marshmallows. I'm from Toronto (born & raised) and it was really great to hear a bit more about the city and its history. Not sure I would recommend it for young children (a lot of talking) but we sure enjoyed it. My friend - also from Toronto - said it really changed her perspective of the Kensington Market. She says it will now be one of her go-to destinations to spend a nice afternoon just browsing around - and finding a yummy place to eat. I agree!
