Please note all Long Wongs are not created equally. We found out by our unfavorable visit this past Friday night that they are FRANCHISES, so where one Long Wongs might be great, another one may be less so. My review is strictly of the 1639 E Apache Blvd. establishment.
We sat ourselves (no one was at the door or otherwise greeted us) in the narrow room off the bar.
No one ever came to take offer a menu nor take our order. Since I saw a full bar from where I sat I told my husband to order me a whiskey sour. He was going to order a beer and he went up to the bar.
He pulled out the prepaid voucher we had from socialliving.com for a large pepperoni pizza and 2 dozen wings and was promptly told that they were not accepting it. We had just ordered and paid for it the day before.
The waitress said it had something to do with the rules of the franchise that they weren't allowed to advertise outside of Tempe. (they never asked where we were from). Anyway, we left with a very bad taste in our mouths for this place that seemed pretty dumpy to us.There were only 3 other customers on Friday night at 5:30.???
