| - I have been coming to Rambo's Kitchen for years, and the other day while I feasted on fried pickles and a reuban after a long, tiring hike at Red Rock it dawned on me that I had never yelped this charming diner.
First of all, I've never had a bad experience at Rambo's. I think being a groovy guy or gal is a requirement of working there, because everyone has a laid back, pleasant vibe about them. Second, the atmosphere is delightful. I've been to many a 50s diner, but the 60s diner is pretty unique. I love that each table has a retro card game and a coffee table book of some kind on it - what great conversation starters! There's even a Magic 8 Ball to play with - though it gave me some pretty upsetting answers concerning my love life last time I was there. Outlook not so good? Come on, Magic 8 Ball. You're killing me.
The food! Oh my! So much caloric-overload goodness! I'm sad they no longer have their Kahuna Philly Cheese sammich - who would have thought pineapple would taste so perfect on a Philly? Still, there menu has lots of options - just don't go there if you're on a diet! Or do - just wait until it's your cheat day because the food is so good and so very fatty. Also, don't dine here if you're in a rush. I think the food is made with heaps of love because it takes a bit longer, but everything is handmade so it's worth the wait.
Rambo's is so family friendly - so if you have wriggly, rowdy kids, they'll be fine here. I've come toting along my nieces and nephews and it's always a hit. Eat there! Eat there now!
