  • This facility is new, clean, and they take very good care of the ice. What I like most about coming here is that they have 2 completely separate rinks, which allows for more hours of open skating while still offering ample time for the hockey teams and competitive skaters to practice. My son is currently enrolled here in the Kids First intro hockey program and I have been completely impressed with the coaching and dedication of everyone involved. I have recommended this program to several friends and will continue to do so without hesitation. On the flip side, I think the prices for public skating and skate rentals here are a little high compared to other Phoenix facilities, and I also prefer the old leather lace-up skates to the plastic ones rented here. Sometimes, during the public skate hours, I feel like I'm being eyed by over-zealous "ice moms" who think the rink belongs solely to their little Nancy Kerrigans. However, my son loves it here, it's safe & well-run, and I enjoy taking him to skate. See you Friday afternoon, and the ice moms will just have to suck it up.
