  • Today I met with Humana Representative Darren Marlow with my uncle who is covered by Humana. The purpose was to determine whether switching to a different plan (which was more expensive) would have given him additional coverage for his upcoming very expensive bone marrow transplant. He generously gave us his time and knowledge. He investigated whether the drugs were going to be covered and when some were not he told me of an app to find those drugs at a local place and the cost. We didn't end up switching to a different plan because the one my uncle had was the best for him. This became clear early on but that didn't stop Darren from continuing to provide more information to us that will be so valuable to us in the weeks to come and gave us peace of mind in a most stressful time. My uncle has been very pleased with his plan and Amy who is also in the Charleston office has also been amazing. Thank you to you both for going that extra mile to help put someone's mind at ease at a difficult time.
