I wish I still lived on the East End. This place was a staple of my diet, sometimes going 3 times a week (a lot more locals go more than that). Why go so much? Reasonable prices, variety of menu, predictability of preparation, friendliness of staff. Even now I live in Parkdale and see nothing wrong with taking the 504 all the way to the other side of the city if it means I will get breakfast at this place and then hit the farmers market at either Evergreen Brick Works or Withrow Park. If you go early you can have a peaceful and quick meal too. 9AM was too late for me, and on the weekends when the brunch kids wake up there can be a line-up for the patio, I would be long out of there.
