| - Let's see, I have been to the following hotels in Vegas: Bellagio, Mirage, Venetian, Luxor, Cosmopolitan, Stratosphere, and Excalibur- so I have had my share of exposure to various casinos in sin city.
Harrah's is just plain trashy. At $120 a night, I expect when I ask for a non-smoking room- you should be able to accommodate me. Especially when we also have booked 17 other rooms on MY credit card. AND we have had reservations for over 5 months.
The majority of the guests are also rather unsophisticated. If I see one more female strut by in a stretchy dress that barely covers her tush, I cannot be held responsible for saying something about common decency and having some self-respect.
On my first night, I nearly froze to death in my room because the blankets are so thin and the heater was not working. I eventually took the blanket and sheets off the other bed in order to finally get some sleep.
My view is lovely too BTW- of a rooftop full of HVAC systems. That is my upgraded room they gave me due to my complaints about having to stay in a smoking room when I feel nauseous by the smell of it.
Which brings me to their obviously lack of good ventilation. In other higher end casinos, there is a smell of smoke- but it's not quite as stale smelling. At Harrah's it reeks.
