My husband and I are visiting from out of state and overheard some locals talk about this terrific new ice cream place everyone is raving about. So we decided to go check it out.
First, I got the snappy turtle in a chocolate dipped waffle cone (it is chocolate ice cream, caramel ribbons, and salted pecans). My husband had the twixster in a sugar cone (vanilla ice cream with caramel, chocolate chips and cookie dough bits... he said it didn't taste like actual twix was in it). My ice cream was AMAZING. SO. good! My husband liked his but was a little disappointed it didn't seem to be real twix in it but the ingredients of twixes.
They are very new, it seems, so they still have some kinks to work out: (1) getting working restrooms (we may have missed them, but didn't see any?) (2) it is a small space but they probably have room for at least a few small tables and chairs inside and outside. There is no seating, so prepare to eat standing up or in your car (3) The BIGGEST advice I'd give them is to print up & laminate descriptions of all the different types of ice cream either to hand out as menus or hang up on the wall for people to look at. There were so many with made up names and people had to ask a lot of "What is ___? What about ____?" The order and checkout procedure would go a lot smoother with these descriptive menus.
All in all, I bet they will get these kinks worked out soon and the ice cream was so yummy, these drawbacks wouldn't prevent me from recommending it or going back. Try it!
