This is pretty much the best supermarket in Montreal. It has fairly good fresh produce; from fruits and vegetables to seafood. There are a number of more exotic items, gluten-free products, as well as all the basics. The prices are on par with any other supermarket, but the location might be what makes it take it to a more desirable level - you probably won't see too many people in their PJ's here.
Here's my stickler point: this is a service-oriented business and while I appreciate that the days may be long and standing isn't pleasant (I've done my share of it too, once as a supermarket cashier...years ago), employees shouldn't talk to customers on too personal of a level. I don't need to know your life story and I don't want to tell you mine. Once a conversation got sort of insulting towards me, it was very misogynistic and I was too surprised to do much other than leave.
