| - If you don't want to experience delays and frustrations, it's better to spend a little more and fly Air Canada.
I used Porter between Dulles Airport outside Washington DC and Montreal, Canada via Toronto City, Canada. Three out of four flights experienced delays of between one hour and a few hours! Because of one delay, I had to rush into a connecting flight. At Toronto City airport, a few hundred people were crammed in a lounge because MOST Porter flights on the departure screen were delayed when I was there in mid-August, 2017 (it was a nice weather outside)! On two occasions, I was told the delays for two of my flights were due to mechanical problems. I have personally never heard of this issue with other major airlines.
In addition, I met a couple using Porter who told me who had to wait overnight because their flight was cancelled on a previous day. They then were told next morning that their names were not on the list! So, they sounded like they really had a stressful time.
On the other hand, customer service was decent overall. Flight attendants were fine. They served free cups of wine on the flight, despite being a short flight (just over one hour) which other major airlines charge money in a short flight.
