| - This was a big science center for kids, with lots of interactive displays/demos that kids can play with, with descriptions of the scientific phenomenon being demonstrated. There were quite a few displays out of order, which was kind of disappointing. We weren't members, so paid $15 each for admission. The NASA section on the first floor was the most interesting to us (and had the least amount of kids because the displays were more informative than interactive). The second floor was mostly demos (much like the Exploratorium back in SF), so there were lots of kids running around. Also, we came smack in the middle of summer vacation, so lots of kids were here for summer science camps and the like.
We didn't pay for admission to the steamship or Omnimax, so $15 was an okay price to pay for 2-3 hours of amusement. There's an attached parking garage (entrance is on the west side, on the street between the stadium and the Science Center), where you get the discounted rate of $8 if you're buying Science Center tickets or $9 for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Get your parking validated at the ticket counter. There were also metered spots out front, which are probably cheaper, and I also saw people hike over from downtown (where they likely parked all day for the best price).
Overall, not a bad way to kill time while in Cleveland, and you get a decent view of Lake Erie, but beyond that, it wasn't that exciting (unless you have kids).
