Nice beer selection for a neighborhood joint, good food (except the scotch egg, everything else has been solid), good atmosphere to hang out with friends. The two sort of weak points are the design and service. Something about the layout causes smells to waft from the kitchen into the bar area, which is fine when it's food, not so much when it's cleaning solutions.
The other iffy is the service from male wait staff, the bartenders and female wait staff are fine. They go a long time between visits, which is fine when you've got time, but annoying when it takes twenty minutes to place your food order if you made the mistake of knowing what you wanted to drink. The general attitude from male wait staff is that they'd rather be elsewhere, although a couple are sufficiently knowledgeable about beer and not listed bottles to make up for the lackluster approach to the rest of their job.
