| - I was looking to purchase bicycles for my entire family and spent a weekend visiting numerous bike shops around the valley. I found Sonoran on the internet and was impressed by all the positive reviews on Yelp and since I also live in Surprise, I wanted to support a local business. Unfortunately, that would not be the case as I was utterly disappointed and perplexed by the lack of inventory at this place. They only had about 10-15 bikes most of which were mountain bikes. I was looking for cruiser bikes and/or hybrid bikes along with some kid bikes. The one and only guy working there said most of the 2016 bikes had been sold and they were waiting for the 2017 bikes to come in, which was really no help to us then. Even so, this place is so small it will never have a decent inventory. Despite the lack of inventory, my wife spotted a bike that seemed interesting to her and so I pulled it down from the rack to look at it. We waited for the guy to come help us, but he was more interested in doing repair work. We sat there for several minutes fiddling with the bike in hopes of getting some help, even asking questions about the bike, but all we got was short quick answers without him ever looking up from the bike he was working on. We were the only customers in the store and he couldn't find the time to help us. After a few minutes of waiting, I could see that we were wasting our time so we left. Very disappointed especially after all the great service we received elsewhere and elsewhere is where I will buy my bikes.
Note: I went to Roadrunner Bike Center at 67th Avenue & Happy Valley and purchased my bikes from them. Received great customer service, got a great deal, along with some topnotch Specialized hybrids.
