| - Unfortunately, I think that the 5 star rating is way off the mark. A family member brought in a car to be repainted in the spring of 2016. Over the course of the spring and summer CP Auto has again and again missed its delivery date. It is now end of August, and his car is still sitting in their shop, partly painted.
Throughout this process, he has been very patient and accommodating: at one point CP promised the car on a Friday, and he replied that he would be out of town -- "take the weekend, but just *promise me* it will be ready by Monday." The person at CP Auto refused to make that promise. We had to laugh at the sheer audacity: What more could CP do to prove that they are not serious about honouring professional commitments? At this point, CP Auto is not even replying to his emails requesting info on when the job will be complete, and the final price. So months into his dealings with CP Auto, he remains in complete limbo: he doesn't have his car, he can't retrieve his car from them and take it elsewhere, and they aren't even communicating with him (except very occasionally to make promises which they transparently do not intend to honour). This is as bad as gets people.
You might wonder why CP has such a high rating here on Yelp despite this extreme unprofessionalism. I can tell you that my family member's negative but factual and even-handed Yelp review was quickly and inexplicably removed.
