  • We had previously purchased small items but on this instance, we purchased a child car seat that was not in stock and were promised that it would take a maximum of two weeks to arrive into their shop. Today marks the fifth week. 5 weeks and every time we call, we get a similar promise; It will arrive either today, tomorrow or the next day FOR SURE. Many tomorrows and next days have passed and no item. We could have purchased this item ANYWHERE. But what did we do? We wanted to purchase from our neighbourhood shop so we can help local businesses, what nonesense on our part. Just go to the big name or Amazon so you don't have to waste your time. What's more important than our time, is the fact that this is a child SAFETY item and we made the choice to increase it by purchasing a safer model. This child has roughly 40 more months to use this seat and one of those months is wasted on waiting for an item we could have gotten from Amazon the next day. Their customer service is flat out horrible (or non-existent for that matter). No information, no truth to anything. Just words. Highly NOT recommended. The fact that they've been in business for this long with this attitude baffles me. But then again, maybe some people like broken promises, having to wait, and getting no customer service. They just lost very valuable customers with a very large range of influence. Update; They called to inform us that they NOW have a tracking number and that the item should arrive sometime this week. We went to the store and made a full refund then went to Bb Buggy (which we should have done in the first place) and purchased the item straight from their stock. I did a little digging and found out that Clek (the maker of the item purchased) delivers their items that are purchased online (to the store) in 3-5 days. This suggests to me that Ella + Elliot hold customer funds for some reason. The only reason I can think of, is to create cash flow to pay off their wholesalers for previous balances and order new items as new funds flow in. If so, it took these guys 5 weeks to make up for our funds, which also suggests that they should be going out of business soon, hopefully, because they do NOT deserve to be doing business in this beautiful city. Shame on them for making families wait on their childs' safety. I highly suggest you read the reviews on Yelp (which we should have) and NOT shop here. What a disaster!
