I'd only heard great things about this place, and was really excited when I had the chance to check it out. I'm a big fan of supporting local farmers and artisans, and was looking forward to seeing what kind of goods they had.
The store was very cute and had a little patio off to the side that looked like it would be a great place to sit and enjoy your food and drinks in the summer. The inside was just as cute, and had a variety of baked goods, packaged products and fresh items.
Unfortunately, this is where my experience took a slight turn for the worse. I ordered a maple latte and was chatting a bit with the staff (a girl working in the cafe and a woman who I think was the owner in the back), and they didn't seem very friendly. There was a box of cards with stamps on them and I asked about them because they looked so cute, and was shortly informed that you get them for buying drinks to get a free one, and was then told how much my latte was with no mention of starting a card for me.
I would have asked, but I was beginning to feel very uncomfortable and embarrassed and just wanted to leave so I took my latte and left. The latte wasn't very good either, it mostly just tasted like very sweet steamed milk.
Maybe I just went during an off day? I'd really like to try again because I had such high hopes for this place and it didn't meet any of my expectations :(
