  • I came in for a japanese straight perm. I have gotten my hair permed a few times at J. J. Hair Salon near Yonge/Steeles but the last time I was there, my hair ended up being completely fried so I vowed to never go back. My first time at Sora I was completely blown away. My hairdresser, Kisa, was incredibly gentle and thorough with my hair. She recommended that I only perm half of my hair seeing that my permed ends were very dry. She made the recommendation even though it would cost less. She really took her time with the entire perm and was patient. Service was just phenomenal. The tea was quite welcome as well. The process is different from the perm I received at J.J., where they apply heat to my hair. There was no heat involved, just different rounds of chemicals. Overall, I paid $200 for the perm + tip. It is a bit more expensive than J.J., but now 2 weeks after my perm, the results speak for itself. My hair is soft and straight and I am a very happy customer! Will be back for my next perm :)
