| - Why haven't I checked out this place sooner? My first visit was just a few weeks ago when they had a promotion for free admission for teachers. How can you say no to that? Teachers rarely get cool perks like this, so I was game to check it out despite not being a huge fan of water parks.
Decided to make a day of it and made it a girl scout outing. The girls had a blast! There wasn't any seating available for the parents so we decided to reserve a cabana. Since this was a last minute decision, we just went to guest services and they were able to help us out on the spot. Hindsight, I think we should have paid more attention to the the location of our cabana. Ours was right in the middle of the park, but we should have picked a cabana that was near the kiddie playground. The cabana came with a table with four chairs, two lounge chairs, a safe, and a server to order drinks and food.
There is an awesome variety of water rides for everyone! The kiddie pool was fun for the kids in our group. Life vests are required for all kids and are free of charge. The slides are great for teens or family groups but I'm just a chicken. I'll just stick to the wave pool.
The food was decent. We had pizza, french fries, and chicken fingers. I saw that they had Dole whip on the menu so I had to order a float in honor of my expired Disneyland pass (RIP). For a park that does not allow you to bring outside food, I thought that the food was decently priced. They also had Dippin' Dots, soft serve ice cream, and funnel cake if you are in need for a sugar rush!
Overall, the girls had fun and the cabana kept everyone cool and happy. I would definitely recommend that if you have a big party to reserve a cabana-- it is worth every penny to have a space to call your own. To save a little bit of dough, bring a cooler with bottled water. They will check your bags at the front gate, but you can bring water in as long as it is unopened. Parking is $7 per vehicle. Bring extra sunscreen for protection against that Vegas sun!
