| - Out of convenience, I've been servicing my vws at Villa for the last 11 years. No more.
There was a time when the service staff, including the manager, knew me by name and appreciated my business. Pricing was fair and service was prompt and well done.
As an example:
I buy my own oil for oil changes, I dont like the product that the dealership uses. 5 years ago, their labour and an oil filter cost $27+tax and they would use my oil for the refill. Today, the same service costs $59+tax, despite still using my own oil. Why? They can't really say, other than the fact that "things have changed".
Another example:
I asked the service advisor about the cost of a transmission fluid change. The advisor did not know off of the top of his head (strange, but ok fine), and said that he would have an answer by the time I returned to pick up my car from its oil change. When I returned, I had my answer, $299... fine, I can't argue, it's what they charge. What I noticed next was shocking. On my service invoice for the oil change was a $4.99+tax charge for "information". Yup, they charged me 5 bucks to answer my question of the cost of a transmission fluid change.
So, 11 years of loyalty down the drain over $5. Way to go Villa!
Coles notes:
AVOID Villa.
