  • I hadn't been home in 2 years and because of that I had created a loooooong list of places to visit (for food, of course - who cares about anything else?) and intended on visiting most of them during my vacation. One of the places at the top of my list was Biaggio's. With everything going on, I just didn't find the time to do a lot of things that I wanted to, but I was adamant about trying a new pizza place. While looking up Biaggio's, I came across Old School Pizzeria and noticed it was much closer. We decided to save ourselves an hour of driving and we stopped in on a whim. I took my cousin and her son, and we decided to dine in and split two large pizzas and bring any leftovers to our family. We immediately chose the Calabrese and the Five Cheese. I like knowing that they let their dough rise for 36 hours. Awesome. The kid that wanted CiCi's Pizza a few minutes earlier was in heaven eating Old School Pizzeria and his mind was somewhere else. He kept asking for more and more and more. Keep in mind - he is the pickiest eater I know. I love their salame and the cheeses they put on the Five Cheese were top-notch. We finished up, took our leftovers to everyone waiting at my Grandpa's house (aunts, uncles, grandpa, cousins, mom, dogs...you know), and they all started digging in. Apparently we didn't bring enough left overs for everyone, so my aunt called them and order two MORE pizzas for pick-up. We returned AGAIN and this time I saw cannolis sitting on the counter, so I added 3 of those as well. We were in a hurry, so we paid & grabbed the pizzas. When we returned, the pizzas weren't what we ordered. One of them barely had cheese and did not have the calabrese salame that we ordered. My aunt is Italian, so she keeps rolls of salame in the fridge. We sliced it and added it to the pizza ourselves. That part was disappointing. The other pizza was quite a bit smaller than the box. My aunt also ordered garlic knots...without the garlic. She's nutty. They are becoming more popular by the second, the person making our pizzas was in training, and I'm sure they'll need to hire more people with the volume of food being ordered and made already. I have high hopes for this place. Consistency is key. They will need to either expand or get more locations. I don't live in Vegas, but I introduced my family to this pizza place on accident, and I'm sure they will continue to order pizzas here.
