I went to my first visit to Copper Star Dentistry today and I was completely disappointed. I was purposely lied to repeatedly just to get me to come in for an exam.
When I set up my appointment over the phone, I clarified more than once that to due to my work schedule I needed an exam and cleaning on the same day. The receptionist confirmed that this could be done.
When I arrived at my appointment, the tech was really nice and before we started I asked if i would be getting a routine cleaning today. She dodged the question and said when the doctor was done, the front office can help me (mind you, she is probably already aware of their policy that both cant be done on the same day). Being honest must be hard for this office staff.
Once I'm checking out I mention the cleaning again and the receptionist, Ginger, acknowledges that I had originally asked for a cleaning. But dodges my question again.
Finally I am told I can't do the cleaning today PLUS the doctor ordered a deep cleaning instead of the routine cleaning I normally get. Deep cleaning is a $80 fee even with insurance!! Hmm, why do I need a deep cleaning when during the exam the dentist said my teeth were fine and there were really no issues. Is this just a way to up charge patients??
Long story short: dishonest office practices!!
