I've been taking my pets here for inoculations and examinations since moving to Toronto 5 years ago. I've always found the vets on staff to be very nice and they're priced well in comparison to other clinics. My issue is that a rather large mass was overlooked during a routine examination during an inoculation visit, which another vet on staff discovered a week and a half later after I took him back due to vomiting, etc., and for my second cat, who suddenly became ill at about the same time as his brother (bad luck in droves), after he hadn't eaten in 3 days, they wouldn't even fit me in for an emergency visit during the morning. I feel as though the technicians are slightly indifferent to your situation or wellbeing of the pet. The vets care and are extremely nice but perhaps not as thorough as they could be at times. My regular vet basically told me that there was nothing I could do for my cat that has cancer, which may be the case but I wasn't offered any information about drugs or something else to relieve his symptoms. I ended up going to a holistic vet for help and guidance.
In comparison, I rushed the second cat to the Bloor Animal Hospital and have been extremely impressed. The technicians seem genuinely concerned about the animals. I was provided a morning appointment and told that if the cat wasn't going to last until my appointment time, to bring him in earlier and they would tend to the animal should it need urgent care.
