| - We went in Sunday around 9pm, for Everyday Noodles, our usual go to place when visiting this area, was closing down for the night.
Upon arrival, no one was seated, therefore we were seated immediately to the location of our choosing, which ended up to be outside, underneath a roof.
Our server, very kind and friendly, seemed to be the only one up in the front at this hour, which is more than understandable, for most places were closing on a Sunday at 9pm, if open at all. She was very attentive. We told her that we do not eat pork, and so, when ordering dim sum if we said anything with pork in it, she let us know immediately so that we could get something else. How kind! She even let us know when the kitchen was closing so if we wanted something we should get it at that point. Trying to flag her down was a bit difficult, but regardless, she did a marvelous job and had a very friendly attitude.
We ordered dim sum this time around, I do believe we ordered sesame rice dumpling, egg custard bun, shrimp with chive, stuffed eggplant, shrimp rice roll, doughnut rice roll, and the shrimp and scallop dumpling.
It took about 15 minutes for our food to arrive.
Everything tasted amazing and the complexity in textures made everything an absolute delight.
A few highlights included the lotus paste inside the sesame rice dumpling, the molten egg custard in the egg custard bun, the crisp chinese doughnut inside the chewy rice noodle wrap, softness of the eggplant in the stuffed eggplant, and the bold flavors of the chive and shrimp dumpling.
Heads up! The rice rolls came out to be lukewarm, nothing to complain about though, for this allowed for the flavors to come out a little better.
Overall, the incredible feast of dim sum cost us $35. I definitely recommend this place to any local who needs to get a fill on dim sum.
If you aren't a fan of dim sum, know that there is a full chinese and malaysian menu as well, to cater to everyone's tastes!
