  • Terrible! Clean room but the staff is unfriendly and robotic at check in, it's normal in Vegas to have people stopping you through casinos/hotels to sell you discounts on shows, dinner, etc... but the people here chase you down the hallway every time you pass as if they didn't just see you 5 minutes before, around every corner there's a booth for this, and near the elevators . We were told when we checked in that we receive 2 breakfasts per day comped at the buffet. We were not given vouchers to we asked how it worked, the lady said to go to the buffet, charge it to the room, and after check out it'll be refunded... well buffet was closed... so we spoke to the manager and he didn't even know the buffet was closed and he told us to go to sids cafe and that we do not have to pay at all, that it is automatically comped on our room. This was a relief but shocking no one is on the same page of how the place runs. Sids cafe took FOREVER the cooks were slow and line was long... the only thing that made our stay pleasant was LORI L our waitress. She was the only friendly person through out our entire stay and on top of her game and quick with service. Also every hotel charges an incidental deposit- every hotel I've stayed in will charge it up front upon reserving the room or will let you know how much it'll be when you check in or will have it posted on their website if that's how you choose to book. Upon check in we were told it's $100 refundable deposit being charged which is understandable but we were upset because we booked online and there is NO NOTICE of that additional fee so we assumed it was included already in the overall price we paid we also had not been told on the phone either. It wouldn't have been a big deal had it been coming out of "fun" money or if we were prepared for it, but we were there for work and were unable to purchase all of work supplies we needed which defaulted the purpose of us even coming to the convention and us getting done what we needed to. When all these issues were brought up to the manager at the end of our stay he simply said "I'm sorry to hear that but hope you'll stay with us again and here is my card of you need. I did not know the buffet was closed. Also they have no control of what Expedia says about the pricing and deposit".... we booked through west gate website directly. Not Expedia. These people are terrible. Never again. I'll take the money I supposedly saved but didn't, to another hotel
