We were passing through Madison, Wisconsin and needed to stop for gas. When we are stopping for gas while traveling we are not particularly loyal to any one brand. We are always on the lookout for Costco because we are members and they are usually on the low end of the prices in an area. But if there aren't any of them around I look for low prices, clean restrooms, a location close to my route, uncrowded pump areas, a decent quick mart, and friendly service.
After taking a quick look at the GasBuddy App I found a Kwik Trip station that seemed to be among the lowest prices in the area and was just off the highway we were taking. So I added its address into my GPS and watched for it. When we got there I didn't see any Kwik Trip but there was a PDQ where it should have been. What I learned was that PDQs were converting to Kwik Trip stations.
Then I noticed that this PDQ/Kwik Trip location not only had one of the lowest prices in the area but it looked clean and had lots of space between all of the pumps. After I finished filling the tank I went inside and found a decent sized mini mart and, best of all, clean restrooms!
