I've stayed at several hotels on the strip. Not great. Not horrible. They seem to be following the trend of the airlines. Want early check-in? Pay a fee. Want late check out? Pay a fee. This is on top of the resort fee. Room types and preferences are "requests" only unless you pay a fee.
We booked a basic room and at check in we asked about upgrades. We could have upgraded to a strip view room for a small fee, and a more deluxe room for $20 per night. We opted for this one.
The room was nice. But the pillows were hard. And the hot water in the bathroom was hot, but if you turned on the cold, it was instantly cold. It was hard to find the balance to get warm water. Internet was slow. It's hard to get off of the property from the valet area due to construction of a new arena.
Nearly all of the staff we encountered was very friendly, even the cleaning staff we passed in the hall.
It was a lackluster experience for us. However, for our stay the price was right.
