I literally had to escort the repairman, Richard, out of my house as he badgered me for my drivers license number for the check I wrote, and then told me he needed the expiration date on my license, which I refused to give- I've never ever had to give my expiration date on my d/l to anyone before. He charged me 230$ to fix a washing machine that had a bobby pin trapped and was a 40 min job. He removed a shelf with my help and damaged the wall - it is tight to remove and other repairmen have done it without ever causing the damage he did or requiring my help. When we removed the shelf he said he normally charges 105$ to do so. He groaned loudly while working and then joked that he doesn't 'charge extra for the groans'. He tried to convince me to call a company and get a new washer delivered same day for 250$ instead of fixing mine. The experience was bizarre, highly unsatisfactory and a disappointment after receiving great customer service from the receptionists.
******Update: kathy I just read your response- I am floored by the fact that it is common to ask for an expiry date on a drivers license. I have lived in Arizona for 17 yrs and this is the first time I have ever been asked for one. I am shocked that it is standard business if it's my very first time being asked. I do appreciate the 78$ credit. Makes the job cost that took about 40 min from beginning to end a little more reasonable than the $238 I paid. I know my check was cashed but I have not seen any type of credit from your company. Would appreciate if you would let me know when and how to expect that.
