| - Why haven't I gone here before?? I live nearby and finally ventured in today. I had a lovely latte and a buttery, flakey pain au chocolat. The staff are lovely and helpful. I was able to try and had a great conversation about some lovely sheep cheeses (which I ended up purchasing) as well, I had a Croque Madamoiselle. Cheesy and toasty and tasty, lovely grilled melted gooey cheese on top, cheese slices, chevre and walnuts inside. Had a great fruity tea (lots of berries, purple box, hibiscus, rosehip etc). Picked up the baguette (made by Ace, baked on the premises), and the AMAZING homemade butter. I am slathering it on the baguette as I write this. Lots of terrific recommendations from the friendly staff. I had to keep reminding myself that I can come back next time to try the lemon tart and blackberry macaron, as well as some of the specials. While I was there, the chef came in and dropped off the eclairs and creme brulee that he makes offsite. Also am planning on trying out the pastry that has hazelnut cream in it. Very satisfied with my purchases and my afternoon. I'll be back!!
