Twenty-seventeen started out sketchy. My dad had a stroke in the end of December 2016 and finally was diagnosed and began treatment in January 2017.
He was referred to this hospital. After his stay here, he went to another hospital and I can't tell you how much nicer this hospital seemed to be.
My dad was treated very well during his stay here. The room was comfortable and there was even a couch in it, giving us more places to sit. The staff was attentive to his medications and the foods he could eat. He has Neuralgia and needed to be on a soft-food diet.
One thing I really enjoyed was the Gila River Indian Healing Garden. It's a nice place to wander around and ponder important things, or relax. There is a Tree of Life, some fountains, a labyrinth, and lots of plants. Since Mercy Gilbert is known as a Healing Hospital, some of the plants included in the Healing Garden are known to have medicinal properties.
From what I've experienced here, I would say this is an excellent hospital, inside and out! I would have no problem being a patient here, not that I would want to be a patient anywhere!
