Had heard about this place from a few friends so when I found myself in Charlotte for the first time (for work) it was high on my list of places to go.
It did not disappoint. Happened to accidentally show up on "Wine Night" which was a great perk. All their bottles of wine were $15 instead of $25. A great deal! The fact that they even do that is really great. And on a Tuesday night it was totally packed! (Not sure if that's a normal weeknight or if everyone was there for their cheap bottles of wine.) Atmosphere was great!! And the service was really good too.
My & a friend shared four tapas (small plates) and they were all really good and turned out to be a pretty decent portion. Didn't leave stuffed but definitely didn't leave hungry either. Perfect.
- Sweet Potato Gnocchi - wasn't my choice (I'm not a huge gnocchi fan) but had a good flavor and came in a little skillet that was a decent tapas portion.
- Sausage Stuffed Pepper - was delicious! Not my choice either, but was *one of* my favorite things! Had a little spice and was a filling small plate.
- Southern Caprese - fried green tomatoes with homemade pesto mozzarella. It was really as delicious as it sounds! Definitely try this!
- Shrimp & Grits - was grit cakes with goat cheese on top and really well done shrimp. Delicious! Maybe my favorite thing of the night!
