| - The person I spoke with on the phone to schedule my appointment was professional, courteous, and brief. He asked if he could schedule a Saturday morning appointment for me and I confirmed it. He informed me then that the technician would give me a courtesy call 30 minutes prior to arriving.
Friday morning he called back to ask if they could reschedule to Saturday afternoon from noon to 4 p.m. due to scheduling conflicts. I said that would be fine.
Saturday I was at my home the entire window packing to move. At 3:40, Dale, the technician called and I missed the call. He left a voicemail stating he was on his way and was about 40 minutes away.
At 4:30, he still hadn't arrived, so I called him back. He informed me that since I hadn't called him back to let him know I'd be home, he decided to go to his own home and quit working for the day. He refused to come to my home at that point. I told him how unprofessional I thought this behavior was. After all, I had been very accommodating by agreeing to whatever appointment time they requested and did not receive the same courtesy. Not only that, but I have never worked with another company that required I answer the courtesy call to confirm the appointment. Cox, Sears, and countless other large companies consider the call ahead a courtesy only. The appointment was already confirmed.
I would never do business with this company again and will make sure to tell everyone I know not to do business with them either.
