| - This was my first YELP event since becoming Elite. (Id previously been graciously included as my bff's plus one.) When I RSVPED to this event, I didn't exactly know what I was in store. This was such a neat, different and fun event!
The food was provided by Sol, a restaurant located in the same parking lot as the Premium Outlets. I enjoyed the flautas, the steamed veggies were heavenly and the meat skewers. All of the food was wonderful but my favorite was the meat skewers because they were the perfect size serving and the steak was very flavorful. I picked up a menu and plan on visiting them this weekend.
So I left my purse in the car (but put a credit card in my back pocket!) my bff, Cameron, who introduced me to Yelp and I started off on our scavenger hunt and found SOOO MANY DEALS while shopping! Ive been to these outlets many times before but only to specific stores. We visited 6 out of 8 stores on the scavenger card during the allotted time. The scavenger hunt exposed me to several stores that I hadn't visited before. Vera Bradley remains a stand out store from the scavenger hunt. They have super cute patterns and FANTASTIC sales! My mom and I are planning to go back tomorrow to check out their merchandise. Who can forget .54 cent for a drink at Starbucks?! Yes, please and thank you! The employees working at the stores took an interest in us, especially at Yankee Candle. I had no intention of purchasing anything in there but walked out with a bag full of goodies and gifts. My heart was full because I knew that I'd scored amazing deals for quality items in there!
After the allotted time of shopping and scavenging we got back to our starting point to turn in our completed scavenger cards and got ready for the drawing of the prizes.
We were greeted with delicious cookies from Great American Cookie and ice cream...what a great detail! Time for the prizes- It was fun to see everyone cheering for one another when the winners of the Adidas Gift card, the Vera Bradley bags and the Visa Gift Card were announced. The grand finale for an already perfect night was when I won the Visa Gift card at my first official Yelp Elite Event, THANK YOU!!
The Yelp Elite Squad is so nice and welcoming! It was nice to meet so many kind and genuine people. I had fun interacting with fellow Yelpers in the stores while shopping and pointing out cute merchandise and good deals to one another.
Overall, it was a very entertaining experience. Thank you to Nikki and Yelp for organizing such a such wonderful event and to Jessica and her team at the Premium Outlets for welcoming us with open arms! The goodie bags were great and all of the items inside the bag were very useful. Jessica and her team are very friendly and I will stop in to say hello to them the next time that I visit the Outlets.
