  • We came back to Cafe Monte after having had a bad experience in July. The owner contacted me and gave me a gift certificate to make it right which I appreciated very much. I waited until now to be able to go with my dad again as he lives out of my state. The certifĂ­cate didn't sway our opinion at all because we don't need those to eat places lol. It was an altogether different experience this time around though. The waiter was extremely attentive and sweet, especially considering we brought my 8 year old and some places in Charlotte seem to frown upon children diners. My dad and I had cram of mushroom soup and coffee to begin and wow, that coffee was fantastic. The soup tasted so fresh and earthy. He went on to have the seafood omelette which he devoured by the time I had a chance to ask if he liked it lol. The filet and eggs I had were perfect, I didn't need a steak knife, it cut like butter. My daughter finished her burger and fries and went on to have some madeleines which she fell in love with. Me and my dad finished with a lemon and pistachio macaron and they were the perfect way to end a perfect meal and experience. Thank you cafĂ© monte, we will most definitely be back.
