| - I think some of the Yelp reviewers so far have been particularly harsh with Petra. They've only been open about two months and are most likely working out kinks- especially with the servers' food and wine knowledge. Having been a server for many years I am definitely more sensitive than a lot of other folks, but that being said I still think Petra is great!
First time I came we sat outside and the service was great. We ordered wine, the beet salad (delicious), spanakopita (cooked perfectly and had tons of flavor), the salmon and the greek burger. Our entrees were delicious.
My mom's in town so I took her here last night and had mostly small plates for the happy hour- tsaziki, dolmas, fried zucchini, more spanakopita, the beets (couldn't pass this up), and she loved it. Only complaint was that she liked my cocktail (strawberry basil) better than hers (greek margarita), so we switched. She says "I aways take her to the best place" when she's in town, and Petra was no exception.
