I wonder if Rabba makes their croissants?
I just wanted a quick bite, either lunch or a snack, and I spied Petite Thuet by King Station. I ran in and glanced at the display case. Not a lot of selections. The sandwiches in the case looked like they'd been sitting around for quite a while. I asked if they were made like a panini (i.e. grilled and warmed up), but this seemed to totally stump the server.
I then just decided on an almond croissant. They were out. So I got a chocolate croissant. It looked like a nice crust. However, it tasted quite stale...not the luxurious croissant taste I expect from a bakery. Dry on the outside, deflated on the inside. It literally reminded me of the cheap croissants one can get at Rabba.
So, I left this place disappointed with the item I had purchased and not inspired by anything else I'd seen in the shop.
The decor looks nice, and it looks like it would a comfortable and quiet place to study or read.
