| - Happy hour on Saturday?! Brilliant!
We hopped the light rail, walked a few blocks and landed on Four Peaks patio where a few pitchers of Hop Knot washed down that stellar artichoke dip (tip: ask for a side of celery, which arrives ice cold and crisp, and marvel at how it contrasts the warm, gooey delishishnous...while making you feel sorta healthy for having a veg).
Normally, I would have a burger, but only if a willing victim will split it with me because those suckers are enormous (but so worth it). This time, not so much, so I had chicken strips with a side salad thinking I'd craft my own "crispy" chicken salad. The strips were PHENOM- super moist and crispy without being greasy. The chipotle ranch is also amazing and not shy about the chipotle (gringo alert: it's spicy). Honey mustard was also out of this world- so fresh, tangy and sweet.
I LOVE that they make their own dressing in addition to ridiculously amazing beer in such a cool, welcoming environment where all ages sit back and enjoy pints. I also love that they've added more shade to the patio so there's more premium seating.
I don't love that the side salad I ordered was a wilted iceberg mix topped with super pale and sad mushy tomatoes. I think they reserve the prime time veg for entree salads. Oh well...one more Hop Knot, please! there's veg in beer, right?
