I'm a new member here, I've only been going for about a week so I'm not familiar with all the rules and etiquettes yet. Today I showed up for class 10 mins late and was turned away, because apparently there's a 5 minute policy that I was unaware of. The instructor said its for my own safety bc we need to warm up before the exercises, OK that makes sense.. But if I already signed the injury waiver then isn't that on myself if I get injured? I think he should have warned me first like, next time if I'm more than 5 mins late then I can't participate, since I already drove out there tonight. Secondly, I already have a nagging shoulder injury and the warm ups consist of a lot of push ups/burpees so I'm not fond of doing the warm ups there anyway. The rest of the workout is usually ok so I still like going for that. But if I'm paying $1,500 per year(!!!) to work out there then shouldn't I be allowed to tailor the workout to my liking? That's just my thinking. Kind of regretting my 1 year membership now. Think I will just try one of the other locations.
