| - This past weekend was my inaugural trip to Vegas, and wouldn't have been complete without completely extravagant meals. Tender was no exception.
On Saturday we walked the strip all day, completely forgetting that it was Saturday and we should probably make reservations for dinner at some point.
We got back to the room around 7, and the BF called the concierge (we were staying at Mandalay Bay) to look for reservations within the hour, since we were starving. After trying several options, Tender had the earliest opening.
We were seated right away, in a round lovey-dovey booth, and ordered a bottle of Ruffino Chianti, one of my favorites.
For appetizers, we enjoyed half a dozen Virginia oysters and carpaccio. Entrees were the hanging tender and bone-in ribeye, both medium rare, which we shared, and a side of the sweet potato puree, which we also shared.
Both steaks were delicious and perfectly cooked, it worked out well that I liked the ribeye better and he enjoyed the hanging tender better. Either that, or he was just trying to make me happy. I was. The only thing that makes me sad is I didn't get around to eating my leftovers.
Service, décor, and food, all outstanding. Tender is not one of the places I had heard of or remember seeing in my research before heading for Vegas, but definitely a hidden gem to check out!
