  • I live in the neighborhood and believe this is a true gem in Charlotte. Alexander Michaels has an atmosphere that is rare in a city full of boring corporate restaurants and pretentious foodie restaurants. The food is consistently great, and how many pubs in town have their beer taps coming out of an antique ice box. The staff is all unquestionably friendly and hardworking and lives up to the Cheers standard of knowing your name if you're a regular.
