| - I wanted nothing more fro my birthday than a complete spa experience. I mean the works: massage, facial, mani, pedi, hair cut and style, and full makeup. Luckily Ladies & Gentlemen have great spa services and packages, bonus was the lunch they provided!
Since I got a massage and facial, I had the same person doing both. Heather was awesome! She was very nice, she didn't talk through the experience, and was very considerate. Very relaxing experience.
The manicurist was also very nice. She took her time, and my nails look great! This salon isn't the cheapest place to get your nails done, but they use quality products and your manicure will last! I waited before reviewing just because I wanted to see how my nails held up. I have very thin nails naturally that bend and break easily, and nail polish usually chips quickly. I'm about 5 days into this manicure and it still looks as good as the day I got it.
The hair stylist - also awesome! She really listened to me and my needs for my hair. I have thick hair, I have a lot of it, and it gets wavy only in the back. It was way too long (mid back) and I needed an easy wash and wear cut that was shorter but not too short, and did not have a lot of layers. I felt like we spoke the same language, which can be rare and is why some women have such a hard time finding "the one" when it comes to a stylist. I loved how she straightened my hair, and when I wash and dried it with out straightening, it still looks good.
I did see someone else comment about kids in the salon - Newsflash: they do kids haircuts here! There may be kids. Kids can sometimes be loud and hard to corral, sometimes its not just a clueless parent, ESPECIALLY if someone is trying to cut hair on said small child. The room with the small kids is right off the manicure area, so be warned. The spa lounge is right off from the main entrance, and some of the spa rooms are near the manicure area, but I found that the noise was sufficiently blocked.
The things I loved most about this salon & spa -
1. They use the Aveda products
2. I was not overly talked at about their products trying to get up-sales (I hate this about other places)
3. They throw in lots of "extras". Your hair cut will come with a mini head massage, or mini facial, or makeup touch-up. Its a way for them to use their products on you and if you love it maybe you will buy it. Much better method than talking up the products!
4. Non-tipping salon!! This was revolutionary for me! No trying to figure out a reasonable tip amount, and who gets what if you have multiple services - just enjoy, and come back!
