Came on a rainy Monday but that didn't dampen our spirits as I was about to break my Charlotte Knights cherry! Woo Hoo! Since this ballpark is only a year old, everything is new, clean and well organized.
Parking is only $5 across the steet.
I didn't get a chance to walk around the entire park but from what I saw, it looks like most folks will be getting a great view of the field. And the Charlotte skyline in the background makes this park really special!
Food and drink choices were decent, as we came on $1 Hot Dog Monday sponsored by Sahleen (Buffalo style grilled franks). Not bad for a buck. I didn't find a good beer selection until we were ready to leave.... So look around for food and beverage choices BEFORE the game starts. They are available.... You just have to seek them out!
We were a little disappointed in the beer selection in the upstairs box suites.... Only 4 Sam Adams-type beer ? FOUR? REALLY? WTF? Come on BB&T you can do better than 4 with all the great local brews we have available!
Overall I really like this park ! Being a Chicagoan baseball is in my blood (Go CUBS!) and I actually DID ROOT for the Knights even though they are affiliated with the Chicago version of the Evil Empire of Baseball...... The White Sux..... Er, White Sox.... Freudian slip.
