| - It's sad to have to post and place a negative review on a hotel that is so iconic for Vegas as the flamingo Hotel. As a family that has diamond level players in the Caesars entertainment system we hoped for some sort of improved service however the front desk staff didn't seem to care, probably because they are always understaffed, and the reception process is far from efficient or well thought out for 2016. I'm sure it was fine in 1979. Really, a 45 minute wait at midnight, to get a malfunctioning keycard replaced? Even when I approached and asked politely for a reprint since they didn't key it right in the first place and it didn't work? They had 8 people on shift and only 3 windows were active in helping customers. Even so, the place was sold out, and since we booked a double queens room, they gave us a king, which sucked, because we had the groom for tomorrow's wedding crashing in our room, because his bride to be was having a party thrown at home.. So we figured he would hang with us on bachelor night. Tried to change, told sold out, couldn't buy another room, and had to force him into a roller bed. Really? 6.7, 240lbs, on a roll bed on his night before his wedding. They didn't fix it even when informed by my wife.
The majority of rooms are outdated, with the furnishing your expect at a roadside motel, like paper thin towels, paper thin walls, doors that slam and thinner toilet paper. Carpets need cleansing, and the price is around 80-$120 all in, on a Thursday .
Without being too specific, I'd say that at least 3 dealers, and a blackjack pit boss were rude, short, and unfriendly. I guess people are just not happy to work here, and it definitely shows that they have lost the couture of servicing the customer with a smile, and politeness. With a little attitude change from management to thier down line, I'm sure a warmer couture could be fostered... Location is awesome, and since they have a great location by the Link and Brooklyn bowl, they feel they can get away with crappy service and quality. I bet if they upgraded attitude and rooms, they could charge twice the price at least, and be envied instead of avoided. Flamingo is most often the last hotel you pick.. Because no others are available... So grin and bear it, and hope to avoid it next time. Luckily.. No bugs.
