Blushberry is yet another frozen yogurt joint located at Entertainment District. It could be a little tricky to find since it's around the corner from Queen Street but you will see the sandwich board that says blushberry as you pass by Starbucks.
Frozen Yogurt comes in Original, Blush, Cappuchino, Mango, Grapefruit, Coconut, Hazelnut, Chocolate and Pineapple flavor. They also serve Fresh Snow, which is basically a flavored shaved ice. It comes in so many different flavors! too bad I don't like them very much.
3 different sizes for Frozen Yogurt, Small is $3.50, Medium is $4.50 and Large is $5.50 (plus tax). Fruit Snow only comes in 1 size, Regular for $4.50.
All the toppings you can choose from- it says 'as many toppings as will comfortably fit in your cup for only $1'. I've never seen that system before, I guess it's a good thing if you are the type to get lots of toppings.
Blushberry can't get any girlier with their white and pink colored store sign and little patio. I thought the fake green grass for the patio looked sort of cheap but it has a cute overall layout. Once you walk in, there is this loud music playing and you wonder for a second if this is really a yogurt shop. There have a TV inside but no seats except one chair, which was being used by one of their employees.
One thing that really turned me off about Blushberry is that their toppings counter was DISGUSTING. The display window and the sides of toppings container was sticky with something and I could see several fruit flies all over their fruit toppings. I was thinking of getting some toppings since it was $1.00 for as much as you can fit....but I wasn't going to get them even if they were free after seeing fruit flies sitting all over the toppings.
As I was waiting to order, this girl that was working at the cashier was helping other customers before me. She seemed quite friendly but was very chatty with the costomer before me that left me standing there all awkwardly as I was waiting to order. I ended up getting small original frozen yogurt for $3.50 plus tax. I liked their frozen yogurt for the taste since it wasn't too dairy tasting, but it melts super fast which I didn't like. Also, their spoons are those regular plastic spoons thats served at food court places which was a little too big to be used for icecream.
Summary: I know I can't trust any restaurant for their cleanliness in the kitchen, but if I can see with my own eyes how dirty the place is, I am not going back no matter how good it is. I choose Menchies over Blushberry.
